Painted Frame

Here's a simple idea for all those picture frames you've collected over the years. Paint them!! I brightened up the frame by using a bright turquoise. I went ahead and added the flowers in an attempt to practice my painting skills :).

Sorry for the blurred pictured, but hope you revamp your old frames!

Mom's Gift

Everyone should have a sign of what is MOST IMPORTANT to the family. Our family is no different~
This picture isn't of the finished product, we touched up the letters and sanded it down a bit more, but I think you can still see the idea.
My mom loved it and I hope you take time to think about what's MOST IMPORTANT in your life! :) Blessings!

Sewing bags

My newest projects - I must admit, I strongly dislike following patterns. Fortunately these turned out just fine without one! :)

Clothes Pin Hangers

I found these cute details in the wood section at Hobby Lobby. I hot glued them to clothes pins and used them to display the beautiful blanket my mom made for my youngest. :)

I also put some on the basket I use for diaper storage and use it to display precious pictures. Sweet & Simple details~

Prayer

In light of the recent tragedies that have rocked our world, I am encouraged and slightly saddened by the frequent use of the word "prayer".
It is encouraging to see many Facebook posts and hashtags asking people to pray for Boston and West. There is no doubt an outpouring of prayer and mindful thought. The issue that saddens me is the fact that so many -and at times, I am included in this- read or say they are praying but have not stopped to take the time to pray.
Prayer is communicating with God, by way of the Holy Spirit. Therefore a reverent relationship is needed for prayer, not just vocalizing words. We must know who we are crying out to.
Therefore in a world in which commitments are easily made and easily broken, just remember when we say we'll pray for something we must actually seek The Lord. Imagine what God can and will do then :)
